On a glorious sunny day in September, set 17 came from as far away as Australia in order to attend a reunion to celebrate 45 years since we started at Barts. We met at the Fox and Anchor pub at Charterhouse where we had a hearty lunch and get together in their function room alongside the pub. Many of us remember popping in here after a spell of nights for a crafty breakfast time tipple!
From there we walked through Smithfield Meat market and on to visit Barts Square and to have the obligatory photograph by the fountain. Everything was looking spectacular in the autumn sunshine and the Barts roses were also in bloom.
Some of us were able to pay a visit to the church of St Bartholomew the Less and Barts the Great was also open which was a huge bonus.
We have to thank the league for their generous contribution to our reunion lunch and are already very much looking forward to the next gathering.
