A tree was planted in memory of Pam Hibbs and other residents of Camden who died of Covid-19.
On Wednesday 6th of May 2021, in between showers, a tree was planted in the park in Camden in honour of Pam Hibbs and other Camden residents who died of Covid-19. Pam died in UCH of Covid19 in January 2021 at the age of 85. Pam lived in Camden and had been chairman of the Camden Health Watch for many years, and continued to give advice when needed. Residents were determined to acknowledge her contribution. The League was represented by Alison Knapp and Diana Sherlaw.
It is planned to hold a Thanksgiving Service in honour of Pam this autumn and a group is developing an annual Pam Hibbs Lecture to commemorate her incredible contribution to nursing and the care of patients both at Barts and Hackney/Homerton Hospitals.
